In order to select the best speakers for our International Women's Day Event, we held two rounds of auditions. Judges who hailed from different industries provided valuable feedback to our speakers and helped us in the difficult task of narrowing the list of fantastic speakers.

Genecia Alluora is a former beauty queen and the Founder of Soul Rich Woman, South East Asia's leading network for female entrepreneurs connecting 12,000+ women and 200,000 subscribers across the region.

Roma Goodlander

Roma is the Client Director at Singapore Management University – Executive Development.

 

She has worked in the international higher education field since 2000, moving between non-profit and for-profit organisations across three continents. Her career has focused on building successful partnerships between corporate and higher education institutions that result in high impact outcomes. With Singapore Management University as a Client Director, she works with clients to develop programmes that provide corporate leaders with new knowledge and then synthesize it into practical application to further empower their leadership and daily work.

 

Holding an MBA from Brandeis University in the USA, Roma has partnered with companies from a variety of industries, but has her deepest roots in the hospitality, health care and e-commerce industries. Finding great joy in helping clients strengthen their businesses by developing their high performing and top executive staff, Roma aims to match the transformational needs of companies with the best research and thought leadership available via SMU Executive Development.

 

Roma is also a foster parent with the Sanctuary Care programme at Boys Town Singapore.

Cathy Johnson, MBA, PCC

With a healthy dose of honesty and humor, Cathy Johnson focused on being authentic. She wants to see people taking charge of their lives, as individuals and as leaders by being real and having authentic conversations with the people who surround them. With a style that is frank, engaging and filled with experiences from an international corporate career spanning almost 3 decades, Cathy Johnson brings a depth of understanding around individual challenges in being authentic in a world that’s demanding more of us and rapidly changing, a world filled with barriers to finding and being our true selves.

Throughout her career, Cathy has worked with some of the biggest names in international and local business, such as Barclays, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Citibank, Paypal, Honeywell, HSBC, MasterCard, Microsoft, National Australian Bank, Publicis, Roche, Rolls-Royce, Shell, Singapore Tourism Board, SingTel, Sony, Standard Chartered Bank, TripAdvisor, United Technologies, Unilever and Visa.

Cathy currently serves as Asia Professional Speakers Singapore’s Vice President (2018-2019) and has held other Exco posts including that of Assistant Treasurer and Secretary.

Emma Dean

Emma is the Founder and CEO of Altafy Events, a Corporate Events Company based in Singapore, created out of a passion for bringing people together and enabling meaningful connections through unique and unforgettable live events.  

 

An accomplished Conference and Exhibition Director with over 12 years’ experience specialising in the B2B event space, Emma has previously worked in the Aviation, Garment, Personal Development and HR industries.   Accountable for the conceptualisation, planning and management of her previous company (HRM Asia’s) medium to large-scale events, Emma led the well-established and recognised HR Summit & Expo Asia – Asia’s leading and largest Workforce Management Event boasting over 4,000 attendees – and was key in winning the Organiser of the Year Award at the Singapore Experience Awards 2015 (Singapore Tourism Board).  

 

Emma holds an LLB in English Law and French Law from the University of Reading in the UK. Born and brought up in Monaco, she is a British native and now lives in Singapore with her husband and two children.

Andrew Vine

Andrew is the Founder and CEO of The Insight Bureau, which is an agency representing top-level professional speakers, in the area of economics and business, placing speakers and moderators into conferences, client events and internal company briefings. 

In 2006, having worked for The Economist Group for 13 years, he decided to set up The Insight Bureau, which was Asia's first speaker bureau, and today close to 100 economists, strategists, writers and authors choose The Insight Bureau to represent them, not only in Asia but around the world. 


He is also the author of an upcoming book entitled "Honestly Speaking: the insider's secrets of hiring professional speakers to deliver outstanding events" which will take readers on a comprehensive journey through the sometimes mysterious, often baffling and occasionally notorious world of professional speakers. The book is for anyone who finds themselves responsible for the programme of an important meeting or event, and aims to raise the bar in terms of knowledge -- and therefore confidence -- in hiring professional speakers to achieve great results.

Shell is the Head of Talent, Organizational Development, and Diversity, Asia and Digital at Aviva.

 

Shell has 18 years diverse experience in industry and consulting across the Asia region, working in Financial Services, FMCG, Pharma, Manufacturing Industries and Conglomerates. Experience in multiple markets: Indian Subcontinent, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Greater China, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines.

Shell's specialties lie in  Talent and Leadership: Pipeline, succession planning, talent assessment, leadership management and development, executive coaching, and diversity and inclusion.
