METTE JOHANSSON

Founder, MetaMind Training

Mette Johansson is an author, professional speaker and the owner of MetaMind Training. She worked in leadership roles for multinational corporations for 15 years before she founded MetaMind Training, a training consultancy which provides learning programmes in leadership, people and communication skills.

 

Mette speaks internationally on how to become a true leader: the leader who we follow not because of their position, wealth or title – but because we are inspired to follow them.

 

For over 20 years, Mette has studied leadership, motivation and engagement. Her bestselling book "How to Make Yourself Promotable: 7 skills to help you climb the career ladder" describes some of these skills, and more.

 

Mette is a recipient of Insight Magazine’s “50 Most Promising Women in Business” award and is the initiator of and current Chair for KeyNote – Asia’s Women Speakers, Asia’s leading directory of female speakers.

ROSLINA CHAI

After an eclectic corporate and public sector career, Roslina cut her teeth as an entrepreneur when she co-founded a private equity firm in Shanghai, the first of seven companies in racing technology, F&B, design, education technology, capacity building, and executive education. 

Through it all, Roslina experienced first-hand the centrality of authentic conversations in breathing life into strategy, the stronghold emotions have on decision-making, and how fundamental an innovative mindset is to surviving the early days of a new business.

Drawing on these experiences, Roslina’s ability to “slice through to the core of matters and beings alike, while possessing a benevolence that disarms those in her space …” have benefited clients such as AIA, Domus Academy, IESE, Il Gigante, Orbotech, PTP, Sentosa, Singtel, and SMU.

Roslina holds three degrees in law, arts, and commerce from the University of Canterbury, and is currently completing a doctorate with Ecole des Ponts researching the intersection of innovation, authenticity, and conversations.

As a speaker, facilitator, leadership coach, bestselling author and CEO of Global Courage, Margie draws on her background in Fortune 500 business, positive psychology and diverse global experience to run leadership programs internationally with organisations such as NASA, Accenture, and many more. Margie also guest lectured at Columbia, Georgetown and Monash universities and often shared her expertise with leading media outlets like the Wall Street Journal, Sky News, CNN, Fox News, Today Show and Al Jazeera.

Her work has given the opportunity to collaborate with and interview many global leaders including Sir Richard Branson, hotelier Bill Marriott, Australian Prime Minister John Howard, Nobel Laureate Jodie Williams and many others.

 In 2015, Margie was made an honouree of the Women's Economic Forum and appointed Ambassador for Women in Global Business.

With her humour, authenticity and matter-of-factness, Aarathi manages to take a topic that is typically ‘taboo’ and uses it to empower other women and couples to be brave on their journey towards building a family. Based on her personal experience of building a family, Aarathi speaks about resilience and finding alternative ways to go after what you want to achieve in life.

Aarathi is an entrepreneur and mother, passionate about being in business and connecting communities through causes close to her heart. With a career trajectory that has taken different paths from corporate, volunteer organisations to start-ups, Aarathi sees the knowledge, experiences and skills gained from these roles as her personal MBA, and harnesses this power to help nurture families and individuals on their journeys, so that they may thrive and celebrate their own growth.

ADELE HUNG

Chief of Staff / Pharma Operations Officer, Intercontinental Region, GSK

Adele Hung is currently Regional Chief of Staff for GSK Pharmaceutical division. Passionate about driving diversity and inclusion, she is also the chairperson for Women's Leadership Initiative in GSK. A registered Speech Pathologist with behavioral psychology background, Adele holds an MBA with finance major, and was formerly the founder of a healthcare consultancy firm in Hong Kong.

Born and bred in Asia, Adele believes in embracing authentic Asian identity and multi-cultural quotient. Adele joined GSK through a global talent leadership program. She successfully progresses across local, regional and global settings in Vancouver, London, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Macau.

With diverse career experiences and successful Asian leadership experience in global MNCs, Adele intentionally speaks about breaking Asian leadership ceiling, with emphasis on authentic identity. Her clinical background also enables her to offer professional training on voice, and behavioral communication for parents and at work place.

Wendy’s work is about learning and bringing forth ideas to help us act with wisdom for the greater good. Being a Chinese with a Western education, Wendy draws from both wells to find insight and inspiration for us to be better human beings and leaders to create institutions that work for all.

The author of “Wholeness in a Disruptive World: Pearls of Wisdom from East and West”, Wendy is also a Certified Professional Speaker(CSP), a designation conferred by the National Speakers Association as the international measure of professional platform competence. She connects with her audience through her authentic, heartful and thought-provoking disposition.

KAREN LEONG

Karen Leong is a sought-after keynote speaker and influence thought leader. A TEDx speaker, and the author of the book ‘Win People Over’, she was featured as one of the ten influential professional speakers in Singapore by the Singapore Business Review. Karen is a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), the highest earned international recognition of platform competence. Karen was also honoured with the Women Icons Award 2017 by the Business Excellence and Research group. A regular feature on television, radio and print, Karen is on Channel News Asia’s panel as an Influence and Body Language expert; notably she analysed the last US Presidential Debates “live” in the studio.

 

Karen is the co-founder of Influence Solutions, a leading learning and development organization, headquartered in Singapore with offices in India, USA, Europe and Africa.  She has been profiled on Channel U’s CEO series and in the media as one of the “10 Fearless Singaporean entrepreneurs who made it happen”.
